Text boxes

If anyone knows how I can get a text box in that space next to my photograph, would you let me know please.

What I would put in it at the end of a challenging week is:
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5

Perhaps followed by
"a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!"

'been there! 'done that!

Well, that was fun!

I've completed my virtual walk across England with http://www.walkingwithattitude.com

It was a lot of fun, and took some effort to keep my daily step count high. The first 6,000 or so steps of the day were not difficult, but the remaining steps I did either on a treadmill at the gym, or long walks outdoors (weather permitting :D)

Quote from the WWA website: "Lucky for us, our trek was a virtual walk ...No high winds, rain or mist rolling over the moors! In real life the Trek is 305 km (190 miles) long, the journey takes most Walkers/ Ramblers between 14 to 16 days with an average of 23.3 km (14.5 miles) per day.... That’s a whopping 33,272 steps a day!" Hmmm...

Now what? Well, I took the first virtual plane downunder again and have embarked on a similar walk in New Zealand. Previously I began a NZ walk with another www, but WWA gets my vote. It's a fun geography lesson, as well!

From the basement: 1

I was down in "the basement" yesterday, to retrieve some Case Notes from the archives, when I came across an old cassette tape. I thought I'd better have a listen. Old tapes can be interesting - so I ran the first track (no time for more at this moment!)

I suspect that it's something that my brother recorded.

Anyway, it was a recording of "Who's on first". It seems to me that it was done at a church social about 30 years ago!!

I googled it, and here's what I got.

The big boys (I mean middle-sized, as in M1 and J1) might enjoy it, if Karen can stand it! BIG-boys might actually remember hearing it before!!

It's a piece of "history" - "ANCIENT history", as it's from a 1945 film! (Turn the volume down!)

Happy-Sad

Happy because he's looking at a map of The Lakes District.
Sad because "we're" nearing the end of the Coast 2 Coast virtual walk across England.

The last checkpoint was Clay Bank Top. I'm heading towards Glaisdale. (Such quaint names!)
Franklin wore my pedometer on the climb yesterday, and registered 6,000 steps, so I really need to walk a further 6,000 steps after I get my final email from WWA.
I haven't heard the forecast for tomorrow yet - which will determine whether we walk to church or not!

Not lost in the fog!

Then just a week later ... (read, "today")
Karen and Franklin, the Trail Blazers! A trial run (!) for tomorrow's Birthday Hike from Waterfall Gully to the summit of Mt Lofty. (6,000 steps, according to my pedometer clipped onto Franklin's sock!) A heart monitor would have revealed ... ... Well, perhaps we won't go there!!
Meanwhile, herself - with 4 children on board - drove this grandfather-to-my-SMART-car for the first time ... around the mountain and up to the summit. It was a HUGE relief to see that little turquoise jacket emerge from the fog!

Be prepared!

I had to smile at the sign on Suzie's refrigerator as I took this photo during Feast for Feet (south)!

"Be prepared for anything".
It was a wonderful evening!
